Stepping away from Anime for a moment, i'd like to show you a diffrennt kind of art piece in my collection. This is a section of Michelangelo's Sistene Chapel. the Sistene chapel was a work that was meant to illustrate the events of the Genisis book in the bible. That in itself can explain half of my fasination with it. as an illustrator, i know the challenge to take someones words and create it in your own vision can be a little difficult if the words aren't your own. For Michealangelo to have taken the scene from the bible where God creates man, and portray it like this! it shows that he truely was an amazing artist, someone who definitly was a factor in creating the art we see today. Michelangelo was born on  March 6, 1475. After the death of his mother, he lived with his father. Who would later send him too a school too learn grammer, but like most artist Michelangelo showed little intrest in schooling, he rather focused on copying paintings from churches. he was later apprenticed to the painter Domenico Ghirlandaio. from then on he would begin his life as an artist. In his adult life, Michelangelo would go on to create many masterpieces in art. Such as the Statue of David, and the pieta, but his crowning work will always be when he was commisioned to make the Sistene chapel. The amount of detail in this work is unreal. It's painted realistically, the figurework is outstanding. It clearly is a great depiction of the creation of man. It just does it's job and does it well. I doubt my skills will ever be on par with Michealangelo's, but seeing his work truly is inspiring. i hope to one day i can create a piece that can effect and have such an impact on the art world such as this did. It's certainly one of the best with no question.
