The inspiration

Hey my name is Derrick Floyd, and i myself am an artist. ever since the day that I've picked up a pencil art has been my life. It has affected me heavily, and without it, i'd be in a pretty bad spot. There are many things which inspire artist too pursue a life of art. Where my interest lie, and what inspired me into the life of an artist was anime and manga.Akira Toriyama's, Dragon ball z, first gave me the inspiration. It's action, awesome story concepts, brilliant characters, and interesting art style, captivated me as a child. It made me go further into anime and manga, and soon i discovered other shows, and other artist from Masashi Kishimoto, creator of the anime Naruto, and Tite Kubo, the creator of the anime Bleach. There are many different forms of drawing anime and manga, telling your story, and creating your characters, but the artist that ultimately inspired me too become a Mangaka was Atsushi Ohkubo. Atsushi Ohkubo, created the anime Soul Eater. Soul Eater had the hugest influence on me, it made me get a handle on the type of manga i wish too create, and the ideas, characters, and story i absoulutly LOVED! right now my goal is too study illustration, so that i may one day make my own manga, Spirit-Breaker, the best i can possibly create. I've started working on the story, i have many concepts, and alot of characters. Everything however still needs alot of work unfortunately. However with time i one day hope too make my manga, Spirit -Breaker, as famous as SoulEater.

Above is one of the many characters i was able too create for Spirit-Breaker. Why is art important you may ask, well in my opinion art is what challenges you too take your creativity, and place it on a canvas of your choice. it is your free expression of what it is you hold inside, what it is that makes you, you. there are many forms of art, and they're are still forms out there that are yet too be discovered. I know that they're is a form of art for everyone out there, all you need too do is find what art style appeals too you and explore into the world as much as you can. i can tell by taking this Art's Appreciation class, i will learn too look at art even in more detail then i already do. I've learned a'lot of the art principles we discussed already, but soon i know that this class can show me how too look at art in a new way. I look forward too seeing how everything goes, and all the things i will learn.
